Bliss Box Case Erector Guide

Keeping Your Product Safe and Display-Ready

Bliss box case erectors, also referred to as rigid cases, use two or three flat pieces to form a bliss box. The assembly starts with folding the largest piece to form the bottom, front, and back of the box. Then the two smaller pieces are added to form the sides of the box, are folded, and then glued together. Lastly, once the case has been filled, the two flaps on the top will be sealed to secure the package.

What is a bliss box?

A bliss box is a durable package that is designed with high-stacking strength so that non-self-supporting products can avoid damage while being palletized. These boxes are typically used for display cases or produce.

A bliss box is made by using 2 or 3 pieces of cut corrugated cardboard. The body wrap makes up the bottom and two sides of the box. The end panel, or H-divider, uses internal flanges to form the laminated corners of the box. External flanges for hot melt glue application will secure these pieces together. Vertical flutes can also be added to the bliss box for additional strength.

Styles of bliss boxes

Since there are so many different options, we always recommend sending in a sample of your product to our sales team so that we can then determine which machine will best fit your needs.

Where can bliss boxes be found in a production line?

Your bliss box case erector can be followed by equipment that will load the cases. From there, the cases can be fed into different types of packaging machines like shrink bundlers, or can go directly into a case sealer to be palletized.

Since bliss boxes are typically used for display packaging, their production can be temporary and only used for introducing a new product into the market. If you are looking for a short-term solution for your bliss box case erector and production needs, SIGMA offers a rental program that will meet your timeline, no matter how long or temporary it is. Our rental fleet is ready for immediate shipping so that you can get operations running as soon as you need and can send the machine back as soon as you’re done with it.
