About Horizontal Lap Sealers
A lap seal is created when two pieces of the same material overlap to make a seal. A lap sealer distributes film around the product, sealing it on the bottom. The product is then in a tube of film, and the film on either side of the product is heat sealed together and then cut. Lap sealers can be intermittent motion, continuous box motion, or continuous servo orbital.
