This type of machine forms a package, fills it with the product, and seals or secures the package openings to create a closed pouch or bag. Form, Fill and Seal machines use flexible, heat-sealable plastic film to form several styles of pouches: pillow, tetrahedron shaped, flat bottom bag, three sided seal and four sided seal. Some machines transport the product horizontally, while others may transport vertically. Form, fill and seal machines may be used to process liquids, powders, sprays or granules, and can be either automatic or semi-automatic.
